ABOUT ENGLISH BULLDOGS...

The Bulldog is a friendly and affectionate companion dog.

Bulldog play can vigourous, but Bulldogs tire easily, are extremely sensitive heat and humidity, and in general, prefer a life of luxury to a life of exertion. See photo to the right.

Bulldogs bark if they think they have reason to bark, but they don't keep it up for long. Barking is way too much work for them.

Bulldogs are heat sensitive, and so require cool conditions, especially in the summer.

You must also be careful to not overexert your bullie on a walk. They enjoy short walks, but if you plan on taking them on a three-mile walk--be prepared to carry them home. This is the kind of dog that doesn't mind hanging around the house. Like stated earlier...they prefer a life of luxury!

Bulldogs have many quirks...there's snoring, snorting, snuffling, sneezing and even, gas! Even with all those quirks...Bulldogs still remain one of the most popular breeds. Their wrinkly face and happy-go-lucky personality make them irresistible.
