PLAYTIME
we've took the puppies out back for the first time yesterday. they LOVED it! they are adorable running around and jumping in the leaves! if their momma is out there with them, they chase her around. roxy tries to get away from them, but they are fast! sometimes she will play with them. they love chasing mea on her trike as she rides around the bike track. awwwww....
the funniest thing though...is when zach makes this noise with his mouth, ummm, like a kissing sound...they all come running back to him.

the puppies have moved, once again. you can now reach them at this new address.

they are settling in just fine and their toys just got delivered by the moving people. i think they will be happy here.
chow time
The puppies are still nursing, but they've added blended puppy food (Royal Canine) with some puppy formula and warm water. They love meal time. They are so messy, though! The food looks not so appetizing...so I just keep thinking "it's blended puppy food, it's blended puppy food..." over and over again!

We started off buying just 3 bowls and thought 2 to each bowl, but they all really need their own bowl. Today I gave them each their own and they really liked that.
And, yes, these pictures don't look so messy, but believe me--they are little piggies!

Rocky had some visitors this Tuesday. His WHOLE family came to see him. The kids had fun watching their puppy and playing with him. Come back any time! And, seriously, can they be any more photogenic? Great photo!

4 weeks in a dog's life is like 4 months in an infants life...
Sorry, we have no picture to post of this one...but tonight we attempted to feed the puppies some rice cereal mixed with puppy formula. They didn't get what we were doing. It was more fun for them to step in the bowl, make a mess and then lick the side of the dish.
After they nursed, I brought some more "cereal" out for them. The first puppy I fed, Dora, went to town. She practically ate the entire bowl! The other 5 still didn't get it. But, just like a real baby, they eventually will.
Roxy loved licking Dora's face afterwards. Dora got a special bath from her Momma! Next time, we will take pictures.
Some puppies are also starting to use their potty pads! Yea!!! Wouldn't it be great to have them all potty trained before they go home?! I think so ;-)
Tomorrow night, I think Rocky is going to have some visitors. He loves looking at the picture of his mommy and daddy posted inside his "bedroom". Yes, I did hang pictures instead their big box! I put a picture up of their biological dad and mom and their new families. I want them to know their adoptive families ahead time!!!

Santa, Puppy
Oh, boy. Where do I begin? When you get behind, there is always so much to do to catch up. We are having a blast with the puppies. They are sitting up, walking around (not so well on the hardwood, but on a blanket or towel), they are playing with each other and they are playing with toys now. They have their sharp, little puppy teeth, too!
Santa came a little early for them. They got some new puppy toys, some bowls, and puppy training pads!
Santa forgot his hat. If you don't believe me, just look for yourself!! As you can see, the puppies couldn't contain themselves. They kept whining to take a picture with the hat on. We are like grand-parents to them, so we couldn't say no!!!

the pied piper
Mea will pull up a doll chair, or in this instance, her sister's car seat, and sit and watch the puppies. They all flock to her. It's so cute. She talks to them, sings to them, pats them and yells at them when they fight or nibble on her toes. Maybe they think she's one of them?! Or, maybe they know who to go to for a snack!

ANOTHER BULLDOG GOING TO A LOVING FAMILY!
CONGRATULATIONS TO THE SANABRIA FAMILY! THEY HAVE JUST ADOPTED A LITTLE GIRL WHO THEY WILL CALL BULLIE! AWWWW!!
WHAT IS SO CUTE IS THE LITTLE BOY WANTED A BOY BULLDOG. BUT, THE MOM REALLY LIKED THIS ONE GIRL. HE WANTED A BOY BECAUSE HE WANTED TO NAME HIM BULLIE. I FIXED THAT EASY...I TOLD HIM THAT WE ACTUALLY CALL ROXY, BULLIE--AND SHE'S A GIRL. SO HE WAS FINE WITH HAVING A GIRL!
bulldog love
Our 2 year old and Roxy have pretty much grown up together. Mea was 9 months old when we got Roxy, who was 4 months old. At first, they were both scared of each other. Roxy had never been around babies and Mea hadn't been around dogs.
Once the two decided that neither of them were going anywhere, they decided to get along.
Now, they are the best of friends. Mea loves to love on Roxy. She'll go in Roxy's crate and hang out with her. It's so fun to watch them.
swimming in december?
The puppies all have their eyes open. Of course, that just makes them that much cuter! They are also pushing up on their front legs. Some of them can stand on all 4 for a couple seconds, until they topple over or their brother or sister comes along and knocks them down!
Roxy is being such a good momma. She will just roll over on her own now to feed them. We were having to force her to lay down and then roll over before.
We moved the puppies to a little swimming (special thanks to cousin Buddy, he loaned us his swimming pool). They love the space to stretch out if they get too warm. It'll just be a matter of time before one of them climbs out of it! They put their little paws up on the edge and look over right now.
We are very careful to watch Roxy around the puppies. Thankfully the puppies are getting bigger and bigger everyday that they aren't so fragile. One day, though, I did turn my back to put some laundry away in a drawer...and Roxy made herself right at home in their swimming pool! She was so cute and she was careful not to squish anyone!
The puppies loved it, they will take any chance to eat!

CONGRATULATIONS, MARK, TARA & FAMILY
Mark and Tara came to pick out their bulldog puppy tonight. It was such a pleasure meeting them.
They are keeping Rocky (formerly Barney) a secret from their 4 kids. Rocky is going to be their Christmas gift. How special!

Big Z found his old football jersey in the attic tonight. Being a former Bulldog, he couldn't wait to take pictures of his puppies on his jersey!!
This is where things got comical...the boys were having a pooping party! I would get the dog set up on the football just so and then I would start to notice something stinky. Oops, he pooped. So, we'd clean him up and get another one. Something stinky again. He pooped. This went on and on. We had puppy poop everywhere, including the exuberant Bulldog jersey
Needless to say, our pictures came out, well, pretty POOPY!
